Sofie is just 8 years old and she and her Mum, Leanne, decided to run the Swansea Bay 5K last July, aiming to have some fun and raise lots of money for us. Leanne’s Mum, (Sofie’s Gran – Sue Simonson) has been supported for many years by LLMF.
The day was extremely hot but thousands of people registered for the run and Sofie and her Mum did really well and ran all the way and in the process raised a whopping £1650. During the recent half term week Sofie and her family came along to Ward 11 to present her big cheque to LLMF.
A big huge thank you is sent from all of us to Sofie and Leanne for this (Leanne has previously raised over £1000 in the past too! So we thank her for that as well!).
