Our fantastic fundraisers come up with all sorts of crazy ideas and none more so than Ella Sherlock who thought jumping out of a plane and doing a skydive would be a great idea! A huge “Congratulations” to Ella and “Thank you” to all her friends and supporters for raising well over £1,000.

Ella explained on her “Sponsor Me” page why raising money for LLMF was important to her.

In April 2013 our lives were turned upside down when my best friend, my Dad, was diagnosed with Lymphoma.

Over the next few years he was treated at Singleton Hospital, Swansea and the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. In Dec 2013 he underwent a stem cell transplant but unfortunately, he relapsed in July 2016.

Then in Feb 2017 due to the kind-heartedness of an unknown young German guy, who donated his stem cells, thankfully Dad is now currently doing well.

Throughout these difficult years we have been supported by all our family and friends, but not forgetting and most importantly by the amazing staff on Wards 11 & 12 in Singleton. They have not only looked after my Dad but always been there for us as a family. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for everything they have done by doing this Skydive and contributing to their fund. So, if you can, please donate something to help them to continue doing this work that is invaluable to so many people.
